Tour Highlights

When you start your special Sri Lanka tour, you will be witnessing a unique set of Islands and the life within. In the capital city of Colombo, you can see a mix of Portuguese, Dutch and British architecture, as it was ruled by these over different periods.
En route from Colombo to Kandy the highlight is to see elephants on the banks of rivers spending some leisure time in Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage. It is magnificent to see such a large animal behave like a small baby at heart, when in water. Sometimes you can be in the water with them.
While on your Sri Lankan vacation, you must try out a Safari adventure as there are lush forests and trained elephants to lift you upon their back to travel onward. In Kandy, there is a temple by the name of Tooth Temple; a relic of Lord Buddha’s teeth has been manifested as per the local belief. As a part of your budget holiday package itinerary; at Peradeniya, you will be stunned by the beautifully maintained Royal Botanical Garden; it is enriched with many unique flowers.
In the evening you can sit and relax at the seaside in Bentota. Have a candlelight dinner with your loved one and live the moment. The views of sunset and sunrise are worth a watch. Children can play making sandcastles while you sip some wine. Apart from your Sri Lankan Tour Package; you can indulge in local cuisine and drinks, but please ask for details as the spices can be too hot to handle sometimes. You can also collect souvenirs made of seashells for your friends and family back home.

Rates are based on using standard hotels offering 3-star facilities with the option of upgrading to superior and deluxe categories offering 4 star and 5-star facilities respectively at a slight supplement.

Itinerary

DAY 01 : ARRIVAL COLOMBO – KANDY

Arrive in Sri Lanka. On arrival, you will be met by our office representatives and transferred to Kandy. En route to your destination, you can visit one of the most important tourist attractions in Sri Lanka, the Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage. Volunteers and caretakers provide shelter and take care of orphaned, abandoned, and injured elephants within the park. You can watch caretakers feed, bathe and help these gentle giants. You want to walk with the herd to the nearby river to watch the elephants bathe and play around in the water. Overnight at Hotel.

DAY 02 : KANDY – BENTOTA (198 Km, 4 Hrs 2 Min)

Enjoy a delicious breakfast at your hotel. Morning you can do a Kandy city tour. Lying amidst the hills, Kandy is the last capital of the ancient kings of Sri Lanka. While being the second-largest city in Sri Lanka it is also famous for its immense beauty and is named one of the seven UNESCO declared World Heritage sites in the country. With its luxuriant prairie, picturesque lake, longest river in the country and misty mountains, Kandy successfully mesmerizes every visitor unsurprisingly. City Tour: While on your city tour you will visit one of the world's heritages as well as a sacred place for Buddhists all over the world; namely the Temple of the Tooth Relic known to the Sri Lankans as Dalada Maligawa. DAY 03 : BENTOTA

Enjoy a delicious breakfast at your hotel. Bentota is the city of the Golden Beaches. You will be able to relax and feel the spirit of the sea and the warmth of the soft sand. The day is divided between swimming in the water and bathing in the sun. Bentota provides the perfect turf for unfurled vacation at the beach. While enjoying the sun, sea and sand the water sports lovers can enroll themselves in various water sports bringing in the unique pleasure of this locale. City tour: On your city tour you will enjoy a boat ride along the Madhu River. It is a scenic tour relaxing and interesting while passing many islets forested with mangroves and experiencing the natural rhythms as well. The Turtle Hatchery is the prime turtle nesting site that was opened by the Wildlife Protection Society in 1981. Visitors can see huge tanks filled with newborn turtle hatchlings. After being fed, the baby turtles are taken to the sea and released when they are 2-4 days old, usually during the safer hours of darkness. Overnight at Hotel.

DAY 04 : BENTOTA – COLOMBO (82 Km, 1 Hrs 42 Min)

Enjoy a delicious breakfast at your hotel. Colombo is the largest city and commercial capital of Sri Lanka. Located on the west coast, it is a busy and vibrant city with a mixture of modern and colonial impressions. Colombo has a wildly varying architecture that spans centuries and depicts various styles. Many colonial buildings influenced by the Portuguese, Dutch and British exist alongside structures built in Buddhist, Hindu, Islamic, Indian and Contemporary architectural styles. No other place is this more evident than in the heart of the city the Fort area. Colombo also boasts many shopping malls and department stores that offer brand-name clothing at highly discounted prices. Therefore, it has become an important shopping destination among tourists. City Tour: While on your city tour in Colombo you may visit famous places including Galle Face Green, the Viharamahadevi Park, National Museum, Twin World Trade Center towers, Old Parliament Building, Fort district, Independence Hall at Independence Square, and prominent Buddhist, Hindu, Islam and Christian places of worship. For shopping, you may visit Odel, House of Fashion, Beverly Street, Majestic City, Noritake, etc. Overnight at Hotel.

DAY 05 : DEPART COLOMBO

After Breakfast, you will be transferred to Airport for your departure flight back to India.

Age restrictions

This visit is focused on guests aged 18 years or more seasoned For youngsters and child accompanied by the adults.

Tour occupancy

Minimum number for any tour date is 2 persons travelling together.
For solo travellers a single occupancy room is allocated.

Passport and Visa Requirements

All guests require a visa with a minimum validity of 6 months which should be beyond your return travel date is required for all passengers.
All Guests need visa and same should be applied in advance, do contact us for any assistance you may need.
It is the visitors responsibility to ensure they are holding the correct and current visa for the countries they are visiting.
Important: We suggest to arrange your visa at least 2-8 weeks prior to departure just incase for any delays due to consulate operating hours and processing times.

Travel Insurance

We recommend you purchase travel insurance as soon as possible after purchasing this package.

Health & vaccination

Travellers are advised to check with their local health professional at least 45 days prior to departure, as some vaccinations require 30 days or more to be effective.
Health care such as a doctor’s surgery, dentist and optometrists may not always be accessible on this tour. It is advised that you ensure you have adequate health insurance cover as part of your travel insurance.

Tipping

Tipping or porterages are not included and are entirely on your discretion while on tour.

Fitness requirements

Travellers should have a good level of physical fitness and mobility. They must be able to partake unaided in their chosen activities/package tours/cruise etc. as outlined in the itinerary.

Dietary Requirements

Any dietary necessities should be received by Special Holiday at least 7 days prior your scheduled departure date. Failure to provide these details by this date may result in an inability to cater for your requirements.
By and large Special Holiday tries to cater for your pre booked dietary requirements but please note that on occasion, this may not be possible due to location, lack of availability of ingredients, and other extenuating circumstances. It is always advised to carry supplies with you.

All airport and hotel transfers are included in the tour from the day of your arrival as per the package.

Surcharges

Any prices quoted exclude specific costs/measures which may be introduced at a later stage as a result of Government changes due to COVID-19 health and safety restrictions. Special Holiday will inform its guests of these changes as soon as possible, these additional charges will be passed on by Special Holiday to the guest.

Name change or corrections

Name corrections or corrections may incur a fee.
After bookings are fully paid, any amendment has to be requested in writing and may incur a fee per person plus any additional costs and administrative expenses incurred in arranging the amendment.
