Tour Highlights

This tour of Rajasthan will give you an insight of the royal life of the emperors who had been ruling India many decades ago. You can see the history and culture come alive in front of you when you visit the Hawa Mahal or the Umaid Palace. The dunes are so romantic in the evenings that you will enjoy your solace to the fullest. Animals and birds of different sorts will be witnessed in their natural habitat. The rustic feel of the Havalies is inviting, but don’t worry we don’t mean dusty. Amidst what is known as one of the largest deserts of Asia you will be amazed to find so many lakes and beautifully designed palaces on them. These were the summer palaces of the emperors. The temples visited on the tour have great significance in the lives of Indians. Visit the Taj Mahal – one of the wonders of the world, Jama Masjid is the largest in India; it is situated in the heart of the hustling market of Chandni Chowk. This market was started by the Mughals themselves and the tradition follows to date. Almost every item can be found in this market. India gate and the President’s palace are two architectural masterpieces being used as official offices of the government. Lakshmi Narayan temple and Bahai temple. Both are very different in designs and faith followed in them, but peace prevails at each of them.

Itinerary

DAY 01 : ARRIVAL DELHI
Welcome. On arrival you will be greeted & provided with warm assistance by our representatives to get transferred to the hotel. Check in at the hotel. Overnight at Hotel.
DAY 02 : DELHI - AGRA (222 Km, 4 Hrs 48 Min)
After breakfast, a city tour including old and New Delhi will begin. The first place to be visited will be Raj Ghat; Mahatma Gandhi was cremated here. Peace prevails at this venue and a beautiful garden provides the calm. Followed by visiting the red fort. It defined initially the boundaries of Delhi during the reign of the Mughal emperor Shahjahan. It is made out of Red bricks mostly hence getting its name. You can get an insight into the lifestyle of Shahjahan as things from his time have been well preserved here. The next stop will be Jama Masjid, it is one of the largest mosques in India. it has entry from three major gateways leading you to four angular towers and two minarets. They have been well designed by the alternating use of white marble and red sandstone. The beauty is worth watching. It gives this monument a unique touch of its own. It is in the heart of a very old market called Chandni Chowk. Interestingly now it is the busiest market in town. Each and every item can be purchased here only you will have to manoeuvre through thin roads. It is very old so there is no scope for widening as compared to the rest of Delhi. Next comes the spiritual stop at Laxmi Narayan Temple, fondly called the Birla temple. It is made of glistening white marble and well kept and polished to date. You will not be allowed to take in cameras so please bear with it. You can grasp each detail in your memory and live the moment. There is one tiny prayer room made of mirrors in each direction. It is so designed that where you may stand you can see the statue of the god, emphasizing the fact that God is all around us. It is basically a tribute to goddess Lakshmi and Lord Narayana. The next stop will be at the India Gate, it is a war memorial. It was built in the fond memories of the 85,000 martyred soldiers during the First World War. These 42 meters high monuments in inscribed by the names of these men and a large lamp is light 24x7 as a symbol of respect for the sacrifice by these men and their families. Close by is the Rashtrapati Bhawan or the president's house. It is the official residence cum office of the president of India. The architecture is a unique blend of Mughal and western influences. Though permission to visit from inside is not given to tourists. The last stop in Delhi will be the Bahai Temple or as it is called The Lotus Temple. It is made of white marble in the intricate design of a lotus. There are pictures available at the museum of this magnificent monument in the museum in the vicinity. You can see it is a perfectly balanced Lotus flower in the pool of clear blue water surrounding it. The entry is by a narrow bridge, and inside there is total silence. You can meditate for a while if you wish. People of all faith are welcome to sit and pray. The Garden built outside has a variety of plants to admire, they give a sense of calm. Afternoon depart by surface to Agra, On arrival check-in at Hotel. Overnight at Hotel.
DAY 03 : AGRA TO BHARATPUR (56 Km, 1 Hrs 30 Min)
After breakfast, you will be proceeding for your visit to the Majestic Taj Mahal. It was built by the Mughal emperor Shahjahan in the loving memory of his beloved wife Mumtaz Mahal after her death. The intricate work of marble and exquisite stones can be seen. The river can be seen flowing along the boundary walls of this monument. Then you will be taken to the Agra Fort. This was the official residence of the Mughals until the capital was shifted from Agra to Delhi. There is a window form where the view of the Taj Mahal is clear. Once you are finished with places included in the Taj Mahal tour packages, then you can have a stroll around the local market close to the Fort. You can buy local products from here including handicraft items. Agra is famous for two local sweets by the mane of Petha and Peda. You must try them. In the afternoon journey towards Bharatpur shall begin. Afternoon depart by surface to Bharatpur, On arrival check-in at Hotel. Overnight at Hotel.
DAY 04 : BHARATPUR TO JAIPUR (186 Km, 3 Hrs 30 Min)
In the early morning, you must proceed for bird watching. The birds are most active at this time of the day. If luck is by your side then you will see approx 100 different types of birds. Other than local birds there are a great number of migratory birds too. Keep your camera in hand to click beautiful picks of the Siberian crane, ringtail fishing eagle, falcon, spotted eagle, tawny eagle, marsh harrier, vultures, wagtails, bee-eaters robins, kingfishers, etc. Do not miss flamingos too in the winter season. There are many animals in the forest such as spotted dear, sambhar, jackal, fishing cat, mongoose, blue bull, blackbuck and monitor lizards. Later; in the Afternoon depart by surface to Jaipur, On arrival check-in at Hotel. Overnight at Hotel.
DAY 05 : DAY TOUR OF JAIPUR
As a part of the Jaipur Jodhpur tour, you will be visiting important places in the capital city of Jaipur. After breakfast proceed to Amer Fort. It was constructed by Raja Man Singh on top of the Aravali hilltop. It is one of the significant monuments of the Hindu rulers in the pink city of Jaipur. Return back to the main city to visit the City Palace. It is a building made with the infusion of Rajasthani and Mughal styles of architecture. Close by is the Jantar Mantar which is one of the five largest ones made by Sawai Jai Singh. It is a monument used to see time and do the reading of the stars. Next, the stop is the Hawa Mahal, it is also called the palace of winds as it has many windows. it was constructed for the royal ladies to witness the royal processions without having to come out in the open among the other local people. Then you can go around the local market and try out local delicacies. The Rajasthani food is very spicy so please be careful when you try it. Overnight at Hotel.
DAY 06 : JAIPUR TO JODHPUR (334 Km, 5 Hrs 50 Min)
After breakfast depart by surface to Jodhpur, On arrival check-in at Hotel. Overnight at Hotel.
DAY 07 : IN JODHPUR
Once you have finished with breakfast proceed for a city tour as a part of the Rajasthan India tour. You begin by visiting the Jaswant Thada. It is a royal cenotaph made by Maharaja Sardar Singh in the sweet memory of his father Raja Jaswant Singh. It is beautifully made of white marble, it has served as the burning place for the royal family of Marwar. The next stop is the Umaid Bhawan Palace. This place has a very different reason for construction, it was built to support the people of the state suffering from Famine by giving them employment rather than alms. This was done with the purpose of developing a habit of working rather than begging when in need. It took 16 years to complete. then you can explore the local market and shop for things made from leather. Overnight at Hotel.
DAY 08 : JODHPUR TO JAISALMER (281 Km, 4 Hrs 34 Min)
After you have finished your food then you will be taken by road from Jodhpur to the city of Dunes; Jaisalmer. Check-in at the hotel. You can stroll around at night and enjoy the sand dunes and witness the beautiful sunset. It is equally romantic as would have been on the seaside. Overnight at Hotel.
DAY 09 : IN JAISALMER
After breakfast you will be taken to see Patwon Ki Haveli, the second oldest fort of Rajasthan. It is a grand Haveli in Jaisalmer. It is a yellow cluster of five smaller Havelis in the same complex. You can see the carvings furniture and artwork of the olden days. The next stop will be the desert culture centre and museum; it provides an insight into the past of this town and local life.9 Then next you will be visiting the Jain temples where you can find spiritual peace for a while. Followed by the visit to Salim Singh ki Haveli and Nathmal ki Haveli. These will provide a glimpse of the life lead by the people decades ago in Rajasthan. It is interesting to know that the rich today also prefer to stay in Havelies rather than well-furnished flats. The last spot for the day will be Gadsisar lake. You may enjoy a boat ride here. Overnight at Hotel.
DAY 10 : JAISALMER - BIKANER (330 Km, 5 Hrs 20 Min)
After breakfast depart by surface to Bikaner, On arrival check-in at Hotel. Afternoon visit Junagarh Fort, Lalgarh place, garner palace and then Mamta Karni Temple. It is very famous and sort after among the locals. You will see that they perform rituals that are considered sacred at this temple. You can also go to a camel breeding farm if you wish. Another highly worshipped temple next will be the Deshnoke temple. Followed by a visit to the Ganga Golden Jubilee Museum where you can know in-depth about the history of the city. Overnight at Hotel.
DAY 11 : BIKANER - MANDAWA (190 Km, 3 Hrs)
After breakfast depart by surface to Mandawa, On arrival check-in at Hotel. Afternoon visiting Havelies like Chokhnai, Ladia, Binsidhar Newatia, and Gulab Rai Ladia Haveli. These give you a glimpse of the royal life, culture and social importance of the town. There are many different paintings to be observed. Overnight at Hotel.
DAY 12 : MANDAWA - DELHI (257 Km, 4 Hrs 50 Min)
After breakfast depart by surface to Delhi, On arrival check-in at Hotel. Overnight at Hotel.
DAY 13 : DEPARTURE FROM DELHI
For the last time in this tour, we will leave you in time for your flight or any other place you wish to go to the town if you extend your stay.
