Visit Akbar’s Mausoleum at Sikandra

Akbar’s tomb is one of the major tourist attractions in the northern part of India. It is located in Agra in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh. It is the tomb of the Mughal Emperor Akbar, the great. It is considered as an important evidence and masterpiece made by the Mughals during their empire or reign. It covers an area of about 119 acres in the grounds of Sikandra. This tomb was built by Akbar’s son Salim who is popularly known as Jahangir.  This tomb is built in Mughal’s style with the various ranges of geometric patterns.

It was built in 1605 to 1616. The interesting fact about this tomb is that it was designed by Akbar himself. He introduced the tradition of building one’s own tomb. He himself chose the location and planned the architectural style of his own tomb. The construction work of the tomb was later carried out by his son Jahangir in the year 1605 to 1613. It was constructed after the Emperor Akbar’s death. It is still considered as one of the masterpieces built by the Mughals in India during their reign.

Cancellation Policy

• If cancellations are made 30 days before the start date of the visit, 25% of the total tour cost will be charged as cancellation fees.
• If cancellations are made 15-30 days before the start date of the visit, 50% of the total tour cost will be charged as cancellation fees.
• If cancellations are made within 0-15 days before the start date of the visit, 100% of the total tour cost will be charged as cancellation fees.
